It was another tough game at Leeds and one in which I felt we should have come out on the right side.
We didn't start very well but we got back into the game and I thought we were the better side. If Deac's kick had gone over it could have been a whole different game but that wasn't to be and that's the way our season has gone right from the start.
We have to put that behind us and get on with the season. We have a decent run now- we don't play the top two again – and we will be looking to win most of the games from now until the end of the year.
It was once again very frustrating watching from the sidelines. It is something that you never get used to it, particularly in a game like that, when you feel you could make a real impression if you were out on the field.
It makes it even harder but there is nothing I can do about it and I have to get on with helping the team as best I can.
It's Castleford this week and I think we owe them one for our defeat at the Jungle. I thought we played really well on the day and were much the better side only to let it slip in the last 10 minutes.
We know how we are going to play and if we can do what we did last time but for the full 80 minutes on Sunday and get the result then we can get our season back on track.
I think Castleford have had a tremendous season. Rangi Chase has slotted in really well for them with Brent Sherwin being out for so long.
He has really been their main strike player together with Ryan McGoldrick, who has been scoring some tries for them and they have a couple of good English blokes, in Shenton and Westerman and they look a good side.
It's going to be tough but we are up for it now and want to win as many games as possible between now and the finals. Things haven't been going well for us because the teams around us keep winning.
When you are in our position you just want the top teams to keep on winning. It doesn't matter if they finish 30 points ahead of you as long as you can make the eight but the teams just in front of us keep knocking over the top sides and that's the way the competition is this year.
The player's tipping competition is going pretty well. A couple of the young boys – Donno and Tatey – have shot in to the lead and poor Beaver is stuck at the bottom. He only got two right on the weekend and has dropped further behind. All the boys are pretty excited about being taken out for a meal on Beaver because they know how much he loves his money!
It was the Ladies Night last weekend and I was a big success. I am sure everyone who was there had a good time and a lot of money was raised.
Being injured, I took a bit of a back seat and kept myself away but Wayne Godwin was in the thick of it!! He came back from his broken leg last Friday at Headingley and he had a great game for the Reserves.
Unfortunately he broke his tooth and everyone knows how vain he is, so he didn't want to take part. The boys made him come though but he didn't shave his head because he didn't want to look too much of a freak with the bald head and broken teeth!! He still had fun but there was no way we were getting his hair off him!!
