I don't think Friday's game at Salford was one of the best to watch or one of the best I have played in but it was one of the toughest wins I have ever been involved with.
Believe me I have played enough now to know just what a difficult place that is to go and get the points. The atmosphere their supporters created was tremendous and on a wet rainy night it was a difficult job and all credit to the boys for working hard and getting the points.
It wasn't a night for entertaining football, you know throwing the ball about but I thought we did some good stuff and completed really well. We started well and bombed a few chances in the first half and our defence was very good when they had some field position in the second period.

We will need to be a lot better this week against Wigan. I have watched a couple of their games and they are playing red hot. They have started really well and their new coach has come in and changed things around but they haven't had too many changes in personnel and that has helped them.
They are a very quick side with a big pack and we have got to be good but we are well up for the game, it's at home and it's on Sky TV and how can you not be up for games like that. We are all looking forward to it and as a club it's a big game for us.
It will also see Paul Deacon return to the Grattan Stadium.
Deacs is a great bloke and a cracking character and everyone at the club looks up to him but come Friday night he's going to be in the other dressing room and the friendship will be put on hold.
I am sure the supporters will give him a great reception but we won't let that affect us as we look for the two points.

I watched the Gillette World Club Challenge last week and it was another tough game in conditions like we played in at Salford. There were some big hits going in and it could have been a different game if young Kallum Watkins could have got over for one or both of the two chances he got.
They were tough chances though and the way Billy Slater came across would have stopped most people. Melbourne really handled it well with the skill level they showed and they really pushed it hard.
The press have been complaining about the referee but Melbourne took him out of the equation and really frustrated Leeds. They did very well but I am disappointed the WCC is staying in Australia. I would have liked Super League to have won it back.

This week sees the start of Jamie Langley's testimonial with a dinner at the Grattan Stadium on Saturday night. All the boys are right behind him because he really is a great bloke and thoroughly deserves his testimonial.
I have got a table of ten with the Godwin family and some of my mates for him. I am looking forward to it but would have been looking forward to it more if I hadn't signed a contract to get me head shaved on the night!!
I have finally got my head round it now and I will just have to get used to not putting my gel on it!! The lads say I will be able to have another 20 minutes in bed!
It's long overdue and I did say I would do it last year only to have my teeth knocked out, so I decided I couldn't lose my teeth and hair on the same day!
In some ways I am looking forward to proving the boys wrong!! They reckon I have had the same haircut since I was 15 years old anyway!!

I must tell you about something that happened to me at Salford. I got a little bang on the head and did a very good impression of Shakin Stevens!! They have shown it on the video and all the lads have been having a laugh at my expense.
Lee St Hilaire came on and shouted 'Hally' Hally' come off and Glenn went off for the sub and I went with him!! It's the first time in my life I have 'subbed' myself!!
When I got to the touchline Steve McNamara said 'what the hell are you doing here!! Get back on the field'!! So it's been get at Wagga week.

I'll see you on Friday and make sue you get here early as we have some cracking entertainment lined up!!
