SPEN Victoria CC added the Wakefield and District Cricket Union League play-off title to the league title they won five weeks ago.
In a tough showdown at Ossett CC, Spen overcame Altofts to secure a fine double success in their inaugural season in the league.
Spen Victoria had an impressive record in their group, finishing ahead of Darton CC, Almondbury Wesleyans and fellow Bradford League side Morley, with captain Mark Palfreeman topping the league batting averages.
The competition is designed to give younger players at the club an opportunity to play open age cricket alongside some of the more established senior players, no fewer than five of the team must be juniors.
Mark Palfreeman said: "The third team is all about enjoying open age cricket. It gives some of the younger players opportunities to perform and help them develop in preparation for Bradford League, but most of all we just have a lot of fun."
First team all-rounder Richard Wear was pick of the Spen bowlers, taking five wickets as Altofts were restricted to just 141. His efforts and batting haul of 20 won him the man of the match award.
Palfreeman was the top scorer with 38 not out as Spen reached the target for the loss of seven wickets.
Man of Match award winner Richard Wear said: "There are some good sides in this league but today we have proved we are the best of them, I'm looking forward to defending the title next year."
Spen Victoria team: Matty Green, Jonny Copland, Ben Cross, George Saville, Harry Saville, Sean Raven, Richard Wear, Mark Green, Richard West, Steve West and Mark Pelfreeman.
