Carol said: “It’s amazing to be working with a BAFTA winning team at Red Productions. From being fans of Scott and Bailey, to now getting to work on police storylines with true professionals, is fantastic.
“We pride ourselves in correct police procedure in our DI Dylan books and to be able to do that on our favourite police TV series is a dream come true.
“So many production companies don’t do what Red do and make sure police procedure is correct and this is not only a great shame for the viewer but also lets their series down in police officers eyes.”
