Sewtec contracts boost

A MANUFACTURING firm is looking forward to a successful 2010 after securing several multi million pound contracts.
Sewtec Automation Limited in Dewsbury has struck deals with a major FTSE 100 company for machinery supply over the next 18 months.

Sewtec Automation managing director Bernard Meehan said: "This is a major project for our customer with the implementation roll out covering multiple factories throughout Europe.

"This is further good news for the long term future of Sewtec and also for other local businesses which support us."

Sewtec Automation has grown its business over recent years and now supplies key machinery and automation to major multi-national companies with over 80 per cent of all business going to export.

Sewtec is an established world class supplier of automation systems to companies such as Nestle, Twinings, Proctor and Gamble and Unilever.

As part of the company's expansion plans, it will invest further in its manufacturing plant and launch a recruitment campaign across all skill areas.
