THE sun shone brightly for the Little Gomersal Community Association's Spring fair.
Residents, friends and their families packed out the Wheatsheaf pub car park and beer garden at the event which was held on bank holiday Monday.

The fair hosted a number of stalls, which were run by and for the benefit of local charities including Reuben and Friends.

Justin Waters, who is one of the oprganisers, said: "We had the best ever turn out with about 300 people there. Our three councillors also attended and everyone enjoyed the events in the warm sunshine."

Visitors enjoyed a barbecue, cakes, teas and were entertained by the Clifton and Lightcliffe Brass Band.

The winning tickets for the raffle are as follows; 1000 pink, 176 pink, 878 pink, 719 green, 234 green, 46 green, 425 green, 154 green, 401 green, 81 pink.

Prizes can be claimed by contacting Justin Waters on 01274 870388, or Jonathon on 01274 876225.

  • The Tesco Charity Committee also ran a stall at the fair. They raised £247 which will go to the Marie Curie cancer fund.
