IT may not be Warmington-On-Sea, but should the air raid sirens sound in Cleckheaton this weekend, don't panic – because Dad's Army is on duty!
If you didn't manage to catch yesterday's opening night of Spen Amateurs' May show, then don't worry because there are still two nights to run.

The show is based on the 40-year-old sit-com about the Home Guard and promises a night of hilarity and nostalgia.

There are three 40-minute "episodes" linked with musical interludes featuring songs from the era.

In the first part Capt Mainwaring and his platoon are called upon to guard the crew of a captured boat.

The middle episode features Mum's Army when Capt Mainwaring tries to recruit women, and the final section sees the platoon having to raise £2,000 to buy a Spitfire.

Performances are tonight and tomorrow from 7.15pm. Tickets are available from Eileen Feltwell on 01274 877828.
