Pupils rise to challenge

THE fundraising efforts of Moorend pupils certainly take some beating!
Children donned aprons and got out their whisks to bake cakes and buns which they then sold.

The school has chosen the RSPCA as its adopted charity this year and, as last week was national RSPCA week, they organised lots of different events including the bun sale, a non-uniform day, an old toys and games sale and a sponsored treasure hunt along the greenway.

The final total has yet to be announced but it will be more than £200.
