Let there be Christmas lights
I WOULD like to give a big thank you to all who helped to make the Christmas Lights and the festivities in Roberttown a great success once again.
A special thank you to Kevin Wright for all his input to the lights, to the team for turning out three early Sunday mornings to erect and take down the lights, Heckmondwike Salvation Army Band for their music, church singers for their carols round the Christmas tree.
Also to Whiteleys Garden centre for the donation of the tree, to Santa Claus (Coun David Hall) for visiting us and entertaining the children with advice and gifts, his helpers and to every one who has donated to this special evening.
Following on from the thanks for all the work done this last Christmas I would like to thank every one who has helped me to put on the Christmas Lights display over the last 10 years.
Sadly I am finally stepping down from organising the Christmas lights mainly due to old age and ill health.
The residents’ committee is now looking for someone to take on this work. Anyone interested please call me on 01924 407311, or any committee member.
