AS a resident and onlooker at the Roberttown Victorian evening on Friday night, I would like to give a big thank you to everyone who participated.

What a wonderful evening you gave us all.

I think it’s wonderful how the residents’ committee, the church, the Women’s Institute and all the shopkeepers combined together on this once-a-year night and put a smile on all our faces, especially the children, and gave them a time to remember.

It was the true spirit of Christmas, and you really lit up the village in more ways than you know how.

Thanks also to Santa who came along. It was real community spirit.

Can I also ask all residents to keep on supporting the lovely village shops like they support us and keep this community spirit going throughout the year.

Well done, and a merry Christmas to you all.
