BNP councillor David Exley defended and lost his Heckmondwike seat.
The results are as follows:

Chrissy Bloom (Lib Dem) - 337

David Exley (BNP) - 1,903

Steve Hall (Lab) - 2,097

Phillip Stocks (Con) - 953


Majority - 194

Turnout - 43.38 per cent
