IT is with much sadness that I learned that Coun David Exley, BNP, has not been re-elected.
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Exley for all his hard work in Heckmondwike.

Take away the somewhat sensitive tag of BNP and what you are left with is a man who has worked tirelessly for the town and its people.

I personally know of at least a dozen people who have been helped by Mr Exley, including myself, with a number of issues, when the council and other MPs and councillors either would not, or could not help.

Not only this, but during the regeneration of the park and all the events that have taken place, Mr Exley has been a keen supporter, and always available and helpful should you wish to speak with him.

I wonder if we can look forward to seeing the elected members up ladders in the dark, cold December nights erecting our town's Christmas lights, just as Mr Exley has done for the past few years.

Come back soon Coun Exley, you will be sorely missed.
