I AM extremely disappointed to read that Mr.Hussain's application for a pharmacy in Roberttown has been turned down by the Kirklees Pharmacy Panel due, at least in part, to lobbying by vested interests in nearby towns.
The nearest pharmacies are mostly a couple of miles or more away, and whilst most boast of a prescription delivery service, this is little use for advice or non-perscription items.

The public transport through the village have become increasingly parlous over the years, leaving residents without a car with great difficulty getting to and from these other pharmacies.

I sincerely hope that Mr Hussain's appeal is given serious consideration for the sake of the residents of Roberttown locality, and not the vested interests of other parties who probably know little of this village.
