IT would appear that Kirklees Council feels it has something to be proud of due to the fact that only about £200,000 of its original investment in Iceland is still outstanding, not to mention any interest.
One wonders why those people who invested large amounts of public funds in a country who's principal industry is frozen fish are now surprised when these assets also ended up being frozen.
