A dancing feat!

TWO young dancers have enjoyed a cracker of a festive season, after appearing with one of the world’s top ballet companies.

The girls, who both attend the Stuart Stage School in Heckmondwike have spent thier Christmas and New Year holidays perfomimg with the internationally renowned Northern Ballet.

Eleven-year-old Caitlin Barker 11, who attends Heckmondwike Grammar School, and 11 year old Daisy Leadbeater, a pupil od Mirfield Free Grammar, were chosen to appear in the Northern Ballet’s Christmas production of The Nutcracker, which ran at the Grand Theatre Leeds.

Stuart Stage School principal Jill Stuart said

“They have both appeared in several professional UK tours but this was their first ballet company and they throughly enjoyed the experience,” she said.
