Displays galore at gala
THE West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Gala will take place at the HQ in Birkenshaw, Bradford Road, tomorrow.
This year's event will host displays and stalls from Red Cross Victim Support, the Highways Agency, the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team and the return of the James Bond Helicopter.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance will also be in attendance as well as the West Yorkshire Police helicopter and the Royal Marines will show off their simulator unit.
Entertainment will be provided by the Pulse Roadshow with Wakefield Majorettes, the Dimensions Dance Display and the Fire Services Pipe and Concert Bands, and there will be demonstrations by the award-winning West Yorkshire Fire Service Urban Search and Rescue Teams, and the community safety teams.
The gala is open from noon – admission is 1 per person.
