Kids’ show is hopping mad
A TALE of naughtiness and mischief, all the way from Korea, The Frog Who Wouldn’t Hop is a children’s story with a difference.
Based on a traditional Korean folk tale, the performance comes to Huddersfield’s Lawrence Batley Theatre on Saturday September 15.
It is told through the company Moby Duck’s trademark style of anarchic storytelling with rumbustious action and is a cross-cultural delight.
In an international piece of children’s theatre, English and Korean actors mix together storytelling, physical theatre, live music, puppetry and wild humour to bring a show thriving with the theatre companies exhilarating style.
Gregory is a stubborn, pig-headed bane of his poor mother’s life. Whatever she asks him to do he does exactly the opposite. He goes to bed when he is supposed to get up and goes to school at home time – when told to stand up, he does – but always on his head. His mother is at her wit’s end, her head is spinning, what has she done to deserve this?
There are two performances, at 11am & 2pm and it is recommended for four to seven-year-olds.
Admission £4.50 children, £6 adults. Call the box office on 01484 430528 or book online at www.thelbt.org.
