Calls from the government to stamp-out glue sniffing were backed by local campaigners.

Batley and Spen MP Elizabeth Peacock, of Dewsbury Community Health and Kick it, said the killer addiction had become rift in parts of Britain. The group provided a hot line for distress calls from addicts and their parents.
