IN Wyke Labour councillor David Robinson kept his Bradford Council seat with a majority of 88.
He said: "I am extremely pleased that the people of Wyke have voted on local issues rather than national issues and that is what the local elections are all about.

"I will carry on campaigning on local issues that really matter to local people, like Wyke Manor School, Low Moor Station and the renovation of the library, which are high on my list of priorities.

"We will work for an increased police presence in Wyke and I fully support the new Oakenshaw pharmacy.

"Overall I am pleased that the local people in Wyke have voted for the local man that cares about local issues."
