A CLECKHEATON accountant has been jailed after pleading guilty to 21 child porn offences, some involving images of children as young as 12-months-old.
Gary Pawson of Whitcliffe Road, was jailed for 12 months at Leeds Crown Court on Monday.
At an earlier hearing at Dewsbury Magistrates Court, Mr Pawson admitted downloading more than 3,000 indecent images of children and he was remanded to the crown court for sentencing.
The court heard how the images, which Pawson had bought from a pay-per-view internet site and saved on his home computer ranged from level one to five - level five being the most serious.
Police found the depraved material when they searched the family home on February 7 last year.
Some of the children were aged between 12 and 18 months.
