Armed robbers sought after raid on bookies

ARMED robbers threatened staff with a knife before stealing cash from a bookies in Heckmondwike.
The incident happened around 9pm on Saturday at the bookmakers on Market Place.

Two men threatened staff before taking cash. No one was hurt.

The men then ran off at the rear of the building to Oldfield Lane.

The man carrying the knife was Asian, around 6ft 1ins, in his late teens, stocky, with brown eyes and had a local accent.

He wore a black woollen balaclava with the eyes and mouth cut out, a long black hooded jacket, thick gloves and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second man was also Asian, in his late teens. He was 5ft 7ins tall, slim, with short black hair, a thin face and stubble, he wore a white tracksuit top and also spoke with a local accent.
