A WOMAN has died after suffering injuries when the bus she was travelling on had to brake heavily to avoid crashing into two cars.
The woman, from Wyke, was on the 675 bus in Bradford City Centre when the incident happened on Saturday May 3 at about 11.20am.

Police say that the single decker First bus was in Canal Road at the junction with Holdsworth Street, when it nearly c
ollided with two unidentified cars - possibly a red Honda Accord or a Rover 400 and a silver Volvo.

A police spokesman said: "As a result, the bus was forced to brake heavily and a 68-year-old femal passenger suffered facial injuries.
"She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where she died two days later."

The woman has been named as 68-year-old Patricia Cope of Carr House Gate, Wyke.

"Both the red and silver cars stopped at the junction and an Asian woman got out of the driver's side of the red car," added the spokesman.

"A dark coloured car also went past the scene going right up Holdsworth Street following the path of the bus.

"Inquiries into the incident are on-going and anyone with information - in particular the drivers of the vehicles mentioned or passengers on the 675 to Cottingley from Bradford Interchange - is asked to come forward."
