READERS are invited to raise a glass and get themselves into the record books this week.
The Obediah Brooke pub in Cleckheaton is one of hundreds of Wetherspoons pubs across the country to take part in the world record attempt at the free wine tasting.

Team leader Jan Boocock said: "We want people to come down on Wednesday May 21. All they need do is fill in a form before 6pm when the wine tasting will begin."

The pub is also appealing for two independent adjudicators to come forward to verify the attempt.

Anyone wanting to volunteer their services as an adjudicator can contact Jan or manager Stephen Kershaw on 01274 860700.
