THREE youths stole a car and used it as a getaway vehicle in an attempted burglary, police revealed this week.
They took a red Volkswagen Golf from a house in John Booth Close in Roberttown, at around 11.50am on Tuesday. Later, at 12.23pm, they attempted to burgle a house in South Bank Road in Crossbank, Batley.

Police said three youths tried to get into the house, and made off in a red Golf. They are linking the crimes.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact Dewsbury CID on 0845 6060606.
