Ten new recruits are celebrating officially becoming air cadets. The new members of the 2490 (Spen Valley) Squadron can now look forward to activities such as flying, gliding, camps, visits to RAF stations, sports competitions and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. The cadets will be able to document these activities in their Record of Service books, which they are shown holding in the picture.

Anyone wanting to join the squadron as a new recruit (age 13-18) or adult volunteer, can visit the cadet centre headquarters at Bradford Road/Radulf Gardens, Liversedge, on parade evenings, Mondays/Fridays, 7pm-9.30pm, or email 2490@aircadets.org for further details.
