Airlifted driver seriously ill in hospital after Wyke crash

A female driver who was airlifted to hospital after a crash in Wyke on Saturday is still in a critical condition.

The 28-year-old woman, driving a black Peugeot 206, suffered serious injuries the crash, at the junction of Whitehall Road and Westfield Lane at about 8.50am.

The accident involved a black Honda Civic and a white HGV. The driver of the Honda ran off from the scene.
