The best things come to those who wait.
Children at Littletown J,I&N school have been patiently watching as Doug Baker, from Arcadia Landscapes, has transformed a grassy triangle into a picturesque garden during the last half term.
And just before they broke up, they held an opening ceremony performed by retired early years teacher Viv Speak, which included den building.
The garden has been named Liversedge Rocks, after a vote by the pupils.
Helen Chilton, the early years and key stage one co-ordinator, said: “The den building was funded through National Lottery Big Lottery and parents and children, together, made the dens and decorated them with twigs, leafed branches and material.
“When some began to make stars and decorations with the dogwood as Doug had shown them, there was quickly a wealth of stars surrounding the dens and role play of kings on their thrones outside their castle!”
