Attempted robbery in Heckmondwike

Police are on the hunt for four men after an attempted robbery in Heckmondwike.

The incdent took place on Thursday September 27 at about 5.45am, when a 34-year-old man was set upon by four drunk men ginnel near the Wike Horse pub off Market Place, Heckmondwike.

The suspects attempted to steal the victim’s bike, but the 34-year-old was able to fend them off and call the police.

The victim described one of the men as white, slim and around six-feet tall. He had blonde hair and was wearing a blue hooded top. The second man was white, well built and around 5’7” tall.
