Young performers at Heckmondwike Grammar will be taking to the main stage for their 12th year at the world famous Marsden Jazz Festival tomorrow.
The HGS Big Band has acquired quite a reputation over the last decade with numerous performances around Yorkshire and further afield.
They will be taking to the Marsden stage around 3pm, featuring more than 30 performers including vocalist Kasia Howley for an eclectic programme including Big Band favourites, pop and soul – plus a few surprises. The band is also joining forces with Heckmondwike Royal British Legion to present a Wartime Night on November 21 – featuring Big Band classics, themed drama, and invited Forties performers.
Tickets are £5 available form the school now.
