A BLUES and rock night in memory of a baby who died from complex heart problems has raised almost £1,000 for two charities which helped her family.
The Isabella Blues Band was formed by Isabella Dean’s musician grandfather Steve Walker, of Liversedge, and some friends earlier this year.
Earlier this month the band played to a packed crowd at the Comrades Club in Heckmondwike, and they were joined by covers band Britrocks and local indie-rock legends Dirty Vinyls.
Steve said: “It was a fantastic night and we raised £966 for Ronald McDonald House and Heartline. Our thanks go to everyone who came along to support us in any way. The club said it was one of the best nights they’d ever had.”
