A DANCE school is throwing its weight behind Phil Clarkson’s marathon bike ride through South East Asia in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
Elaine Howarth’s Centre Stage school, in Cleckheaton, will be holding a Zumba night on Wednesday to help raise money for Phil’s 527km ride through Vietnam and Cambodia in November.
The dance school, at Woodroyd Mills, South Parade, will be holding the Zumba classes on Wednesday with all the proceeds going towards Phil’s fundraising drive. Participants can wear red clothing to show support for the charity.
The Zumba class is open to everyone who wants to take part.
Phil said: “I just want to thank everyone who has made a donation. Once the original story appeared in the Spenborough Guardian, I have had lots of people coming up to me and pledging me money.”
The class takes place from 7.30pm and admission is £5 and donations are welcome.
