GOMERSAL firm Highgrove Beds has been refused permission to extend its working hours citing ‘a lack of trust’ between firm and residents.
The Heavy Woollen planning sub-committee voted to refuse extended operating hours this afternoon (Thursday).
Councillors said the firms repeated breaches of current operating hours caused disruption to residents near the Spen Lane factory. They also added the firm should look at relocating to a non-residential area.
It brings to an end three years of disruption for residents, who said they have been regularly woken up during the night due to noise levels.
