An opticians has expanded its store in Dewsbury, thanks to a £125,000 investment.

Specsavers in Westgate has undergone a major refurbishment in order to create two new state-of-the-art eye test rooms.

The firm has also installed new technology to improve its customers’ experience.

Store director Paul Smith said: “We are committed to providing the residents of Dewsbury with the best optical service in town and we have therefore invested in the store to improve our customers’ experiences further.

“We now have seven test rooms and one separate sound-proof hearing room.

“The investment means that we now have a larger dedicated waiting area.”

The opticians has invested in a digital retinal camera, wireless technology and four iPads for the store.

Customers can use the iPads to take pictures of themselves when trying on different pairs of glasses to find the pair that best suits them.

Mr Smith said: “We hope that our success and customer loyalty continues for many years to come.”
