A MAN has been arrested after a car was driven twice at two schoolboys in Thornhill Lees.

The boys were walking along the pavement in Ingham Road yesterday afternoon when they noticed a silver Audi A3 driving towards them.

At around 5.10pm the car bumped up onto the pavement and drove at the pair, who jumped out of the way.

It then stopped and reversed back towards them.

The Audi missed for a second time but damaged a wall before the driver left the area.

The boys, aged nine and 14, were left with minor injuries.

Police today said a local man had been arrested on suspicion of assault and was in custody.

Phone Det Sgt Guy Shackleton at Dewsbury CID via 101 with any information.
