A man who is in hospital after he was hit by a car is thought to have been lying down in the road when he was hurt.
Police want anyone who saw the 32-year-old get hit by the Toyota Aygo on Monday morning to contact them.
The accident happened in St Matthew’s Road in Westtown, Dewsbury, at around 2.49am.
The pedestrian was taken to Pinderfields Hospital with serious injuries, and remains there in a serious condition.
A police spokesman said the man was believed to be lying down in the road when he was hit.
