Performers from a Norristhorpe dance school are to take to the stage in celebration of their school’s 20th anniversary.

Rachel Walmsley set up Timestep in 1993 and produced her first show at Batley Town Hall in 1994. Every year since then she has put on a show at Cleckheaton Town Hall

She said the show, called One Night Only, looked back over the last 20 years of the school.

She said: “We have past and present pupils and teachers who are performing a selection of dance routines from past shows which include Joseph, Blues Brothers and Lord of The Dance.

“Our pupils range from three years old to those in their 70s!

“I’m sure it will be an emotional evening looking back over the 20 years.

“It will be a proud moment dancing alongside my youngest son, Bradley, who is only 15 years old.

“Bradley plays a major role in the Timestep community.

“He has choreographed routines for the show plus he will be performing Together Again by Janet Jackson, which is dedicated to his grandfather.”

The show is at Cleckheaton town hall on Saturday November 2 at 7pm. Tickets are £10.50 from www.kirklees.gov.uk/townhalls or 01924 324501.
