Cycling champ gets pupils in a spin

A NATIONAL champion joined pupils from Headlands Road School for their annual sports day.

Billy Harding, 14, of Birkenshaw, is the current national u14 champion in cyclocross and is one of the country’s most promising young talents in the sport and ultimately hopes to represent his country in international competitions and become a professional rider.

He is also an ambassador for the prestigious SportsAid b-active Sporting Excellence Programme and was invited by Headlands to join them for the sports day at the Princess Mary Playing Fields, Littletown.
