Three founding governors have been appointed for the new Whitechapel Primary School site, before the big move next September.
The Church of England school has appointed the Rev Brunel James, Josie Pugsley and Philip Hardill to the governing body.
The Rev Canon Ian Wildey, from the Wakefield diocese, said: “The creation of Whitechapel CE Primary School is a really exciting opportunity for the families and children of the former two schools to continue to enjoy outstanding education within a context of Christian faith and values.”
The new governors will oversee the new school, created following the merger of Moorend and St Luke’s First Schools. It currently operates from the two sites, but will move into the former Whitechapel Middle School building next year.
