Pupils and staff at two schools spent hours, days and weeks arranging an arts and music festival in aid of a clean water charity.
Sound Summit took Dewsbury town centre by storm last weekend after efforts from Westborough High School, St John Fisher Catholic High School and Coun Darren O’Donovan (Lab, Dewsbury West) brough it to life.
The event included music, drama, dance, and arts and crafts stalls around the town’s bandstand.
The chosen charity was Pump Aid, which focuses on providing clean water supplies to African villages.
The event was devised by non-profit company the AMP Awards, who were invited by Coun O’Donovan to devise a project for the schools.
