FUNDRAISERS went the extra mile at the Princess Mary Playing Fields.
Kirklees Active Leisure held the event at the complex in Littletown to raise money for Sport Relief.
Entrants laced up their trainers and showed their support by completing one, three or six miles and money raised will help improve the lives of people in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
The event also included live dance shows, a huge Zumba class, face painting, taster athletics, bouncy castles, body zorbing and more
The winner of each race received two Huddersfield Town match tickets.
The Sport Relief Mile was part of KAL’s countdown to the 2012 Olympics. The action begins as the KAL Games kick off on April 29 with events at centres across Kirklees until August.
They include mountain bike challenge, archery, rowing, swimming, triathlon, table tennis, badminton, football, athletics and dodgeball. For more information about the KAL Games visit www.kirkleesactive.co.uk/olympics.
