BULGARIA was the honeymoon destination for a couple who married at Liversedge Parish Church.
Miss Debra Stockings, daughter of Mrs Joan Stockings of Elland Lane, Halifax, and the late Mr Geoff Stockings, was married to Mr Alan Roy Firth, son of Mr Arthur and Mrs Heather Firth, of Abbey Road, Shepley.
The bride was given away by her brother, Malcolm, and wore an strapless ivory satin gown with a beaded bodice, apron front and small train. Her ivory veil was scattered with Swarovski crystals and held by a diamante tiara, and she carried cream roses and freesia.
Chief bridesmaid was Miss Tracy Justice and the bridesmaids were Miss Angela McCroy and two-year-old Miss Chloe Firth who is the bride and bridegroom’s daughter.
They all wore lilac dresses.
The best man was the couple’s seven year-old son Luke Firth, and the ushers were Mr Andrew Firth, the bridegroom’s brother, and Mr Dave Stockings.
The service was conducted by the Rev Simon Pitcher and the couple travelled to their reception at the Whitcliffe Hotel, Cleckheaton, in a vintage Rolls Royce. They enjoyed a honeymoon in Bulgaria.
The bride is a housewife and the bridegroom, who is a nurse manager, is vice captain of Crossbank Methodist cricket team. They live in Liversedge.
