A grieving husband has led tributes to a woman who “was always willing to help others.”
A pillar of the Cleckheaton community, Elizabeth Bowers, known to family and friends as Beth, was knocked down by a car on Monday.
She and husband Trevor were on their way to a friendship group in Huddersfield when the 74-year-old was struck and killed instantly.
Mr Bowers, 79, said: “Beth was a very bubbly character, always with a smile on her face. She was always willing to help others.”
See tomorrow’s paper for full tributes.
