A two-time cancer survivor and wheelchair user is to take part in three charity challenges.

Dan McIntyre, who has multiple sclerosis, is taking part in the Edinburgh 5K Wheelchair Race and marathon in May, and the Yorkshire Marathon in York in October.

Dan, 36, of Liversedge, said: “Charities supporting people living with a cancer diagnosis are close to my heart. When I discovered Cancer Support Bradford and Airedale I was amazed at the services they provide not only to cancer patients but their families as well.”

Dan, who was chosen as a London 2012 Olympics Gamesmaker, said: “I have spent a large part of the past three years challenging myself to see what I can do, pushing those boundaries and showing everyone what disabled people are capable of.”

In 2011 he crossed the Swiss Alps in a 1932 mobility tricycle and took part in the Leeds 5k Run for All, and in 2012 he slept rough in Grimsby and did a zip slide from the Newcastle Tyne Bridge, all for charity. Search for Dan at www.justgiving.com to sponsor him.
