Dewsbury chef Tracy scoops national chef of the year gong

Dewsbury's Tracy Healy is celebrating after being crowned 2017 School Chef of the Year.

Tracy, who works at Ravensthorpe Junior School, beat off competition from nine other chefs up and down the country at the LACA School Chef of the Year final in Stratford-upon-Avon on Thursday.

Her winning dish was a main course of lamb kofta with coconut rice served with flatbread and mint salad - spiced meatballs served with coconut rice, homemade flatbread & fresh mint salad.

Her dessert was rhubarb fool with ginger crunch, creamy rhubarb fool with ginger biscuit crunch.
