A Cleckheaton-based businessman is looking to make an impression in what he says could be his last marathon.

Ben Pinfield, who runs Junction 26 Beds in Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, has run marathons in the past, and has now dusted off his running shoes to raise money for a charity that is close to his heart.

Ben said: “Martin House has been a big part of my life for a long time as my mum has worked there since it opened 25 years ago. It is a wonderful place that supports local families through some of the darkest times in their lives.

“Having previously run the Great North Run and London Marathon, I know what’s in store. That doesn’t make the training any easier but what gets me through is knowing that I am raising money for Martin House.”

Ben and wife, Amy, took over the running of Junction 26 Beds last year, and will also donate £5 to Martin House from every order of more than £100 they receive during March.

Ben said: “I do love to run, but I haven’t run any marathons for a while, and this will last one.”
