Cleckheaton firefighters helped to rescue a dog after it became stuck in a rocky crag.

The Jack Russell, named pip, chased a rabbit into the rugged land on Moor Road, Ilkley.

Firefighters were called to its rescue after it became lodged, at around 11.45am yesterday (December 4).

A specialist animal rescue officer attended as well as a technical rescue crew from Cleckheaton.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews worked really hard in challenging conditions to release the dog unscathed.”
