Pictures published by various online accounts show midfielder Lewis Cook in blue kit with yellow trim, bearing the logo of new shirt sponsor 32Red.

United’s Twitter account revealed yesterday that photos of the kit had been taken at their training ground ahead of an official launch planned for next week.

The release of the away kit is now expected to be brought forward after images of Cook in it appeared on the Internet overnight.

The strip, which has been produced by Kappa, is replacing the popular yellow kit worn by United in the recent Championship season.

Both Leeds’ home and away shirts carried no branding during the 2015-16 owing to a dispute with former sponsor Enterprise Insurance but a three-year deal was struck with online casino company 32Red last month.

United previously wore blue away kits during both the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons.
