A DECORATOR and a former teacher are trying their hand in the world of retail to bring something a little different to Dewsbury.

Ayub Haladh and Shereen Sheikh, both from Batley, are the pair behind new ladies’ fashion boutique Ms-Dress in premises at Foundry Street, Dewsbury.

The shop sells on-trend clothing and accessories, as well as stocking clothes by high-street brands such as Lipsy and Dorothy Perkins.

Co-owner Ayub said he and Shereen were glad to have a permanent base.

He said: “We had been doing stalls on various markets for a while but wanted something more permanent, and because our stock didn’t really suit the market shopper we decided the best option would be a shop.”

Shereen said: “It’s exciting to be taking on a new challenge, especially something so different to what we’ve both done before.
