A FIRE crew had an unusual call-out, after they were alerted to a fire which turned out to be nothing more than a smouldering plant-bulb.

After attending a building in Leeds Road, Liversedge at 11.17am on Saturday, the crew, from Dewsbury Fire Station, noticed that the smoke was eminating from the charred remains of a bulb in a flower bed that caught fire after being heated up by the sun.
