Child rapists took victims to Batley hotel
Two child rapists took their victims to a Batley hotel, a court heard.
Yesterday Shazad Rehman and Bilal Hussain were imprisoned for a total of 36 years for the drugging and raping of vulnerable schoolgirls they picked up off the streets of Keighley.
Girls were plied with vodka and cannabis and smuggled into hotels or a house Rehman, 30, had access to, with their heads covered in hoods.
Their victims were taken to the Alder House Hotel in Healey, Batley, and the Campanile Hotel at the Euroway Trading Estate in Bradford.
The abuse took place over several months, beginning in May 2010.
The men were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court after the jury found them guilty of all counts aginst them.
Judge Jonathan Rose sentenced Rehman, of no fixed address, to 18 and a half years imprisonment, and Hussain, Rehman’s nephew, of Leeds, to 17 and a half years in jail.
Rehman was convicted of raping two 14-year-old girls, one repeatedly, sexually assaulting a third underage girl and sexual activity with a child.
Hussain was convicted of raping two girls, one repeatedly, and common assault.
Both men were found guilty of multiple charges of supplying cannabis to underage hirls and conspiracy to intimidate a witness.
Both were ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life and a Sexual Offences Prevention Order protects children from them indefinitely.
